Hopkinsville Elevator Cooperative is returning more than $30 million dollars to farmer-owners across the region and the state.

During the cooperative’s annual meeting at the Bruce Convention Center, Tuesday night General Manager Eston Glover presented the annual report to members that were on hand. Glover said during the 2020-21 fiscal year farmers sold a large amount of grain with the cooperative.

click to download audioHe adds the cooperative is sending a large amount of patronage money back to the farmer-owners.

click to download audioMeanwhile, Agri-Chem General Manager David Buchanon said the supply side of the cooperative worked hard to keep farmers supplied with the resources they needed on the farm is providing nice rewards.

click to download audioCommonwealth Agri Energy Manager Mick Henderson said they continued producing ethanol, wet and dry feed with farmers corn, but also found a new market in supplying hand sanitizer. Henderson noted 2020-21 was really about the people.

click to download audioSince Commonwealth Agri Energy started in 2004, the facility has processed more than 200 million bushels of corn.
