Kentucky Agriculture Commissioner Jonathon Shell and Office of Ag Policy Director Brandon Reed joined the Kentucky Ag Development Board Friday in Franfkort to kick off the 25th anniversary celebration.

The meeting and kickoff celebration was held at the Kentucky History Center, which is the same place the first meeting was held twenty five years ago.

Commissioner Shell saluted the efforts of Kentucky Office of Ag Policy Director Brandon Reed, who was involved with the entity at the beginning.

Commissioner Shell noted the importance of the work the Kentucky Ag Development Board and the Kentucky Ag Finance Committee have done over the past 25 years.

He added the money from the master tobacco settlement that created the Governors Office of Ag Policy 25 years ago has continued to work.

As a part of the celebration the Kentucky History Center was packed with displays from twenty-five of the organizations and entities that have used money to help improve agriculture. Projects and entities ranged from Hopkinsville Elevator to Kentucky Proud, Farm Credit Mid-America, Grow Appalachia and many others.
