Wild horses and burros will be available for adoption or purchase during a special event at the Christian County Ag Expo in Hopkinsville.

Hunter Gaffrath with the United States Bureau of Land Management says the wild horse and burro adoption program is designed to preserve the population of both that roam on public lands across the country.

click to download audioDonkeys and horses can be purchased for $25 each or they can be adopted for $125. All animals have been tested for Coggins and vaccinated and are ready to be trained. There will be a special training demonstration will take place Saturday morning at 8:00.
