Country artist and Lancaster native Alex Miller has been named the new brand ambassador for the Kentucky Department of Agriculture’s Kentucky Proud program. The initiative promotes locally produced food and agricultural products across the Commonwealth.
Miller, who comes from a long line of Kentucky farmers said, “I am honored to be a part of Kentucky Proud. This chance to serve as an ambassador will allow me to highlight member accomplishments spotlighted by this amazing program. I love Kentucky and I will always do all I can to share the wonders of the Commonwealth.”
Agriculture Commissioner Jonathan Shell praised the partnership, calling Miller “as Kentucky as it gets” and the ideal spokesperson for the program’s mission of celebrating the state’s heritage and bounty.
Miller will promote Kentucky Proud products and farmers through appearances, performances, and social media outreach. His current single, “The Byrd,” featuring country icon Tracy Byrd, is out now on Billy Jam Records.
