More than 1,400 customers and friends enjoyed pancakes and sausage during the annual H & R Agripower Pancake Breakfast Saturday and celebrated retirement with Ross Morgan.

Ross Morgan, who has dedicated 58 years to the agriculture equipment business, officially retired from H & R Agripower and his longtime partner in the dealerships on January 1. Saturday’s pancake day was dedicated to Morgan, who said he got his start with his father-in-law many years ago.

Morgan owned and operated H & R Implement for many years before merging with Agripower which was owned by Wayne Hunt to form H & R Agripower.

He says the innovation of farmers in Western Kentucky has led to major accomplishments for agriculture.

Morgan says others in the farming and agribusiness world changed the way farmers think and operate.

He adds the willingness of farmers to embrace new ideas has benefited the entire region.

Morgan has served on numerous dealer advisory boards during his career and has worked on the local, state, and national level to advocate on behalf of agriculture and the innovation farmers use to plant and harvest their crops each year.
