More than ten youth competed in the Western Kentucky State Fair rabbit show, along with a number of competitors in the poultry show.

In addition to the main show, there was also a showmanship competition for both species.

Along with these shows came the presentation of the John Bill Calhoun memorial award. This award was given to the top poultry showman of the night.

Missy Calhoun, who was the wife of John Bill Calhoun, said she was honored to be able to present this award.
