University of Kentucky’s 2023 Equipment and Facilities for the Small Acreage Horse Owner Workshop will be held on September 12th. The workshop is focusing on small and medium sized horse farms, specifically with a focus on tractor and equipment safety, importance in farm layout, and equipment purchasing decisions. 

The program focuses on small and medium sized horse farms because they commonly have less resources available to them. Many owners of these farms perform most or all of the work by themselves. This program can help maximize the resources they do have by teaching valuable information for overall facility management.

Registration and the trade fair start at 5 p.m. EDT and dinner begins at 6 p.m. The workshop will be held at Desmar Stables, at Crockett Springs Farm, 685 Handy Pike in Harrodsburg.
