McLean County put on their annual Farm to Fork dinner Tuesday night. The proceeds from the meal went towards the charitable organization, God’s House for Hope, where they provide meals for those in need within the county. McLean County Extension Agent, David Fourqurean, talks about the importance of the meal for the county and agriculture.

Fourqurean follows up with why people should know where their food is grown.

The McLean County Cattlemen’s Association provided a steak dinner that everyone enjoyed before listening to the guest speaker, Kentucky Cattlemen’s Association President, Jeff Pettit. Before his speech, Pettit told us about how the KCA is helping local chapters like McLean.

“Kentucky is the largest cattle producing state East of the Mississippi River,” says Pettit. He goes on to discuss cattle and cattle producers in Kentucky.

The crowd was at capacity with around 200 community members attending the event.
