Whether on a big farm operation or a small family farm, cattle are moved often. This is so the grass has a chance to regrow and stay healthy in nutrients. However,  there is more to moving cattle than just opening a few gates. Farmers must make sure all the fences are in perfect condition by removing objects like limbs, repairing any breaks, and removing overgrown weeds. When moving the cattle, it is best to keep them at a calm walk to ensure every cow goes to the right place. Since cattle are herd animals, if one goes off track the rest will follow. Here is a gallery of this process on a family farm.
